Organiser: Liminality Research Consortium, Gender Centre, Geneva Graduate Institute

In conjunction with World Refugee Day, the Liminality Research Consortium was pleased to host a public event to launch our multi-country report, A Multi-Country Report: Survival Strategies and Health Repercussions in Forced Displacement. This report presents findings from our research on transactional sex and its health repercussions in forced displacement across multiple countries.
During this event, we shared findings from research conducted in five countries, highlighting the gendered drivers, patterns, and sexual and reproductive health and mental health implications of transactional sex. The event featured contextual insights from different countries and fostered an engaging dialogue with various stakeholders, including policymakers from UN agencies, community organizations, and civil society representatives. The discussion focused on the implications of our findings for policy and programming aimed at improving the health and well-being of forcibly displaced people.
